when i left junior school i went to a middle school and thhen onto high school,whereas my hubby went to junior and then to high school,so he thinks im a rarety going to a middle school,yet schools from all over went there ,so im interested to hear what you did.

Elementary is K-5 (5 years to 11 years)
Middle School is 6-8 (12 years to 14 years)
High School is 9-12 (15 years to 18 years)
OR
Elementary is K-6 (5 years to 12 years)
Junior High is 7-8 (13 years to 14 years)
High School is 9-12 (15 years to 18 years)
If you were in a middle school and went to a place where it was just Junior High, then it makes sense.

I went to middle school (5-8 grade) then High school (9-12 grade) I've never heard of junior school before though...lol It's different everywhere I guess

After grade school (up to the 5th grade) I attended the Middle School which was grades 6 - 8, then high school. I was in the middle of two separate towns. The other town did the same thing, except if you went to the Boys Christian School. They skipped the middle school. Their grades went up to 8th then they attended the high school.

I went from a elementary school to junior high, and high school. There was nothing called middle school, when I went
Elementary school was Kindergarten through 6th grade. Junior High 7-9th grade. High School 10th-12th grade

For NYC, there was a Junior High at the time so (7th-9th grade for me and then HS). It's changed though into a middle school (6th to 8th). It just depends on the city you're in.

7th and 8th grade was a middle school of sorts My elementary school only went to 6th grade. I transferred to another school for grades 7 and 8 but that school had k-6 as well.
