Yes I would say we do but it isn't a caste system, that is, that you are forbidden to rise above it or required to participate in it. The homeless, the sick (esp with AIDS which I kind of liken to leprosy the way they are treated), in many cases the old and the disabled are ignored by our society.

How about the morbidly obese? The homeless, the very mentally ill, those with extreme physical anomalies.
