I've always been in love with Siberian Huskies because their appearance closely resembles that of a wolf.

I have a 5 month old Husky/Lab mix named Nixon who gets noticed everywhere he goes because of his distinctive "mask."

Not only is their appearance, but they can whip you into shape because they LOVE to run with you.

They're independent which means they don't need to be by your side 24/7, so you can get stuff done while they play with their toys.

They're highly intelligent as well. Teaching them new things is fun and easy to do because they're very attentive.

Also, they don't eat as much as a lot of dogs. They're not picky eaters, they just ration their food. This means less poop, which is always a good thing.

One last thing... they're super friendly (if socialized properly at an early age) towards most people and animals.

I love mutts!!! They are the easiest dogs to train and they have their own personalities. Some of the pure breed dogs aren't very smart and need alot of training. My dog was a mix of a cock er spaniel and golden retriever and who knows what else. She was the best dog you could ever have. Very loyal and protective. My only problem that i had was she didn't like children or noisy people. Mutts are the best kind of dogs if you ask my opinion.

War dogs from Scotland. I think there are only a few left. The males used to weigh somewhere between 360 to 420 pounds. Used in war to tear the hell out of the clans rivals.

Shih Tzu. They're not too expensive, they have a cute bark (especially if you have hound dogs, since the shih tzu will mimic them), and they love to be petted. The only gripes I have about them are that they have to be groomed and bathed alot because of their long hair, and they are inherently lazy and won't run with you for more than a few hundred yards.

Well, I have three toy poodles and they are awesome. My grandma also has a toy poodle. They are the second smartest dogs too, next to boarder collies. They are super sweet and friendly. I also like Shiba Inus because they look sooper cool. They look almost like foxes. And they are good sized, but not too big. So, I guess toy poodles and Shiba Inus are my favorte dogs.

I'd have to say that my favorite kind of dog is a cocker spaniel/poodle mix aka "cockapoo." They are so sweet and gentle and they're SO cute. That they don't really shed is a bonus!
