ok So a group of guys i know from playing hockey are starting up a team ( along with my formal coach) it is an adult C team. mean while i am on an adult D team. ( i can easily play C) but the thing is my d team can only have 2 c league players who we already have. but the C team needs more since there are not to many. C may also be cheaper since the captain get get sponserships. But i would feel really bad about leaving my D League team if i decide to go to C. so i need some advice what should i do?

no i won't be leaving during the session ( it si 12 game sessions) it will be next session. I think i would Gel Best with the C team because i have been playing with them for a long time. and have built up great chemistry. and playing in D is not going to make me better i am averaging about 2.5 points pergame and atleast 1 goal for every game.

Don't burn your bridges if you do move but sometimes it's a good idea to challenge yourself at a higher level. After all the worst regrets we have when we look back in life are always about the road not taken. You might want to help the old team find a replacement as a way to patch things over.

Oh and of couse what LITY said is important (isn't it always?)

if you still have some growing to do in D then stay, if you feel you could learn / grow more in C then do what's best for your game, you said your still on a D team, don't burn bridges by leaving in the middle of a season, at least finish it out, that's not a cool thing to do...

1. Which team will you gel best with?
2. Which team will you get the most ice time?

Those are the first two questions I would be asking myself.

Are you serious and do you have aspirations for a future in hockey? If so, chose the path that will best help improve as a player and help you reach your goals. If not, what's the difference?
