UFOs (unidentified flying objects): Yes.
If you see something in the sky and don't know what it is, then it could be anything. It's probably (derivative of probable) not an alien spaceship from another planet. However it's not at the same time 100% not an alien spaceship. (.00001% or some ridiculously slim percentage that it is, though)
Aliens: Yes.
We are the evidence of life in the universe. So it's safe assume that life exists elsewhere, especially considering the great diversity of life on this world alone. Remember, "absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence". Those who believe that to be untrue are very short sighted. Consider the "discovery" of North America. Since there was no "evidence" that is was here, then it was assumed didn't exist. And when it was found that mentality fueled the worse in human thinking - greed, pride, arrogance, etc (we found it so it's ours)
A person can make assumptions about this matter in two ways: Yes there is or was life elsewhere in the universe or No there isn't or wasn't life elsewhere in the universe. I think is safer and much more forward thinking to assume the former.

UFO just means Unidentified Flying Object. People see things flying the they sky that they cannot identify all the time, so that is true. But they are NOT alien space ships. Aliens probably exist on other planets (but of course I am just assuming, there is no evidence), but they are not coming to Earth in space ships.

Astronomy has nothing to do with UFO's or aliens.
Try the Alternative category Paranormal Phenomena. It is grouped there along with ghosts and such since there exists no physical evidence or proof except for verbal accounts.

UFO's become IFO's if all data can be gathered and we discard amateurish hoaxes. The only aliens are from other nations on this earth. My lover Miyuki is from Japan, so she is an alien.
