He played 243 consecutive games, an NFL record among linebackers, won 4 Super Bowl Championships, and is the only linebacker to start 5 Super Bowl Games (Super Bowl XXIII, Super Bowl XXIV, Super Bowl XXXII, Super Bowl XXXIII and Super Bowl XXXVII). In his rookie season, Romanowski made a big impact for the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIII, recording a third quarter interception that set up a San Francisco field goal. He is one of only three players in NFL history to win back to back Super Bowls with two different organizations (San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos). During his 16 year career, Romanowski compiled 1,105 tackles, 40 sacks, 18 forced fumbles, and 18 interceptions, which he returned for a net total of 98 yards and 1 career touchdown. Romanowski was a Pro Bowl selection twice, in 1996 and 1998, both during his tenure with the Denver Broncos.

He probably will go to the Hall of Fame, but not his 1st year of eligibility. He put up some great numbers throughout his career and played on some good Super Bowl teams. The man was a leader on the field and was a tough player. Although he had some character issues during his career, it shouldn't prevent him from being inducted to the hall. Jack Lambert was called dirty player and he's in the hall of fame, and Lawrance Taylor had character issues and he's in the hall as well.

Again not as a first year eligibility but probably on his 7th or 8th try.

If he gets in, it will be based mainly on his longevity.

He was a good linebacker, but only made those two Pro Bowl selections in a 16-year career. To me, that's a pretty clear statement that he wasn't an elite player, which I believe should be the most important attribute for enshrinement in Canton. I don't give him too much credit for those Super Bowls, because football is an incredibly team-oriented game and what it most tells me is that he had the fortune of being surrounded by great talent.

I'm not biased against him for going nuts against a guy in camp, or for the steroid use. Based strictly on his football performance, I just don't think he should get in.

No. Although he accumulated a lot of stats, he did it over a 15 year period which doesn't make them impressive. He also only went to 2 pro-bowls during those 15 years. Meaning he was decent but never dominant.

The Super Bowl rings he got was nothing but him being on the right team at the right time.

I doubt he'll make it to Canton.

Tgoreddevil: You got a thumbs down because you don't know what you're talking about. Denver won SB 32 and 33 (after the 49ers won their SBs)

No, because everyone will remember him for spitting in J.J. Stokes' face and for putting a rookie teammate in the hospital during practice.

probally not that book he wrote and spilling dimes on other players will keep him out, its not fair should base it on play but they base it on social status anymore
