I posted a pic of myself before online and I have gotten the most evil comments from :
1) You are African and 3/4 of Africa has AIDS (I am not from Africa by the way Im just Black)
2) Blacks are ugly
3) and other racist and mean comments in general
What I want to know is what is with these racist and mean comments? I though we were past attacking people on race but it seems as though we arent.
I want to know if me posting my picture is warranting me getting attacked? And why is my race always the first thing to get attacked?

By no means am I fishing for compliments I just want to know why people have to be downright horrible.

I think you are pretty.
People are full of hatred for various reasons. I am sorry this has happened to you.
Perhaps these people who said these things are men who find you attractive, but they are racists and afraid to pursue a relation ship with you.
Kind of like slavery. White men slept with black women openly, but deemed them subhuman.
Jealousy is another reason why this may have happened.

There will always be ignorant, racist people out there because of the way they were raised or taught to believe. The world is getting better, but there will always be flaws. It takes all kinds to make the world go around, but don't listen to them. Ignore them-they don't know you, they are just blinded by hate. You are a beautiful woman and I am sorry for all the arrogant people out there.

You know, you would think that we would have evolved by now. People are stuck in the past, keeping racism alive and well. I'm sorry that people are so ignorant and you had to take the brunt of it. It's just ridiculous. You should be able to post your picture like anyone else and ignore the ignorant people. Take care.

For one, it is tremendous that you probably did not %. up on that nonsense starting to be up round it! As to the question, it is really not person-friendly because it is totally irrelevant of her to communicate like that, fairly in the front of impressionable childrens. on the different hand, she's your mom so it will be extreme to assert "shrink her out of your existence." i'd tell her that it fairly bothers you and is not any longer something you could problem your little ones to yet supply her slightly time to paintings on it before really fending off having the little ones round her. previous habit die complicated, so it would want to take your time. you've your sister tell her an analogous aspect. perhaps in case you both tell her that's a subject matter she'll take it more advantageous heavily. convinced, you managed to make stronger up and by no skill %. up on the racist frame of mind yet that does no longer mean it changed into pleasant to hearken to or that it is high quality. My daughter is biracial yet in spite of the actuality that if she wasn't i wouldn't have her round that. i'm merely attempting to be lifelike, in spite of the indisputable fact that. I heavily doubt you're going to shrink your mom out of your existence over this.

I live in the town where Miss America 2003 comes from. She is a black girl. This town is honestly dangerous for me to drive in. There are so MANY good looking black girls. Racists are missing out on something good! (Not that I'M not missing out! It's not like any beautiful woman ever noticed ME.)

I guess folks feel like they can say anything and then hide who they are. Racism is not gone, but it is tapering off. I know I'm better in that category than my parents, and my offspring are better than I am. Little by little things are getting better, but there's always losers who like to hurt folk's feeling. Hang in there.
