I think it's GREAT.

The ball is a piece of history that was used as a publicity stunt by a non-baseball fan. Mark Ecko is a complete douchebag.

I wouldn't want to be associated with the Hall if they took the ball I hit to break the all-time home run record, after it was branded.

You know, if Baseball is going to ahead and give the green light for players to do "whatever it takes" to get the big, exciting home runs, then you ought to take what comes with it, including respecting Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and the like.

Bonds has a right to feel frustrated for doing nothing wrong (HGH wasn't banned until 2004), and still getting put out by the SF Giants and MLB Baseball, two orginizations who have profited obscenely from his exploits. He's being called a cheater when he hasn't broken a single rule.

I think he's making a mistake. Which he has shown is his thing through out the past. It's an honor to be put in there with names like that. Obviously, he knows he shouldn't be in there. Who cares about the ball? It's the record that matters. It's not like that one little ball got him his record, what about all the others before that one? He's doing us all a favor by boycotting it.

Well, i say, if he wants to boycott it, let him. He disgraced the game of baseball by using steroids, and when i heard of the asterik, i thought that it was a great idea. and now he's boycotting the HOF! the HOF is a honor to be in, and only the best of the best get in. if he wants to boycott it because he cheated and people are acknowledging it on his home run ball, then by all means, boycott it.

Vladimir Guerrero - he's rather on his way and arguably already has the numbers to pass in, If he keeps to be wholesome for yet another 3 or 4 season then that's a no-brainer if no longer then we are able to all merely could desire to attend and notice. he's 34 and could be turning 35 in spring education so we are able to easily could desire to attend and notice. Trevor Hoffman - they are going to could desire to stipulate what a corridor of popularity relief pitcher is in the past i visit remark on Mr Hoffman (or Mr Rivera for that rely) in extra advantageous than one hundred seasons there are purely 5 relief Aces inducted (hands, Gossage, Wilhelm, Sutter, Eckersley) Mike Mussina - Hmm exciting one that .638 winning pct cant be surpassed over that a million.192 WHIP cant be surpassed over yet that 3.sixty 8 era is extremely intense, there are far extra useful yet lots worse already in, we are able to could desire to verify what them writers think of of his contributions, jewelry and his friends. I think it is great news. Now MLB will not have to feel guilty when he doesn't get elected into the HOF when he is eligible!
Bonds just stuck his foot in his mouth again.
Does he think he is above Baseball and everything it is about.
I hope they display the ball with the asterisk and we never see Bonds in the HOF....

He should boycott it. The asterik is an assinine attempt at getting a personal opinion into the hall of fame. He would be a fool to go to a place that holds a baseball artifact that mocks him and his accomplishments.
