It depends on a lot of things, like the size of your tank, what the temperature in your tank is already
But if it's a new heater and a new tank, you're suppose to leave for 24 hours, check the thermometer and then adjust as needed until you have the temperature you want your tank to be
You might have to adjust it over 3-5 days until you finally have the wanted result

quite a while probably. but it does depend as mentioned above on the starting temperature of the water, the amount of water and the power of the heater. the heater will keep the water at the temperature very efficiently, but will take a while to heat it from tap temperature or room temperature.
you can add some from the kettle if youre in ahuurry

depends on your heater, size of tank, starting temperature of the water if you have a decent heater
mine will raise the temperature 1 degree an hour in a 300ltr tank with a 200watt heater

My method is surprisingly quick, I use a flamethrower. Bingo bango 26 celcius in seconds.
