Yep. It's your body trying to make more endorphines to give itself relief from the depression.

Yes. This happens very often when you experience a death of a loved one or some other traumatic experience.
I was in a very bad car accident once and was scared and really upset. The woman in the next bed over in the ER was screaming at the nurses about how she needed to be seen right away because she had pulled a bookshelf over on herself at home and was positive she had fractured her wrist.
I had 2 broken ribs, a bruised sternum and multiple abrasions and just could not stop laughing. Tears were running down my face... and it wasn't even that funny.

Hahaha oh yeah.
Someone real close to me had died and a couple of days later I was just trying to move on and get over it and when I was with my friends I started laughing out loud for a couple of minutes and all of them were like what the hell is wrong with you? lol.
Something that also happens a lot is I find something overly stupid extremely funny that I can't stop laughing. That happened to me while I was driving! haha!
by the way, don't listen to the other answerer, you're a good-looking gal! wanna hook-up?! just kidding :P

No, but I've been so anxious that I started to laugh hysterically. I have a friend that will stare at me for a few seconds and literally drop to the floor laughing. I don't think he's depressed, just crazy.

Yes, I use to laugh for no reason. I think people thought I was crazy. Maybe I was, a little. It's just an unfortunate side effect of depression.

I agree with the first person who posted; it was always at the most embarrassing times.
I no longer suffer from depression but I still laugh out of nowhere because I think of something funny when I'm bored. My family makes fun of me because I'm always smiling at nothing. I can't help it, I always think of quotes from funny movies.

Yes. I got in a car accident and broke my leg, and I couldn't stop laughing when the paramedics arrived I was so depressed.
