I am a Bahai,
My mother was a racist who pretended NOT to be racist because she new it was wrong,
( So even tho she makes racial comments from time to time, she raised us right, saying she wasn't racist and that she wouldn't care if we married black men)
my other relatives were not so lucky as me,
religion, and Christianity will always exist,
When the bible says Love them as I ahve loved you,
does it ONLY mean specific individuals, OR Does it infact mean everyone,
I am a Bahai,
We love everyone, Sex without marriage is NOT acceptable,
and their for Gay sex is not acceptible, ECT>>>
I love all people including Gays, and Believe that eventually they will progress and acknowledge Gay Marriage, Ect...
If NOT my children, and Grandchildren, will be raised to LOVE everyone, including GAY's Ect.,
Meg

The Bible was written by men, generations after stories were told and passed down, Religion is man's way to control men, It has been used for wars. BUT when we look at religion in the truest sense, in the purest form, it was a few basic rules and guideline's, love your neighbor as you would yourself, don't kill, respect your elders, and a few other guidelines for peaceful living.
When the scriptures were translated they could not be translated word for word, idea for idea. SO we have the thought of men who tried to translate the stories.
As a gay man, an ordained clergyman, I feel "God" or what ever term you chose to use for a spiritual leader/being - I loving, and would not have created so many GBTLQI people
if it was so wrong.
We have to follow the concepts of living in peace, loving our neighbors, and respecting those who do not share our views, our valves, or needs.
There are political persons that are much more EVIL than any gay person is. Hate and prejudice is a learned behavior
so we have to teach our children to love, to accept to break the cycle that our elders have given us.

I' m a lesbian, I'm elderly and I have grandchildren. They think I'm cool now, but I look forward to the day when they get a little bit older so I can embarrass them about something. Children are always embarrassed about something their parents or grandparents say or do or how they dress or think. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Look, your bible has ALREADY been 'reinterpreted' several times over the centuries. There was NO reference to homosexuals as we know them today in the bible. There were references to temple prostitutes, pedophiles and heterosexuals engaging in homosexual behaviors, but not once is homosexuality EVER mentioned! NOT ONCE!
I'm really sick and tired of having to defend myself and my community from the attacks of the ignorant, but that's how it is. Educating people to actually understand the differences and nuances is about as easy as attempting to get those SAME people to know the difference between pedophilia and adult sexuality.

initially.. Telling a Christian they could't use the Bible as a source is absurd! that's what we live by. you are able to call it what you like brainwashed, sheep, no longer having a techniques of our very own.. i in my opinion do no longer care. The Bible is what I stay my existence by. I have been given right here from a piece of writing referred to as "what's incorrect with being gay?" The complementary shape of the female and male anatomy is obviously designed for the conventional husband-spouse relationships. for sure, layout in human biology helps heterosexuality and contradicts homosexuality. the aggregate of woman and male helps guy (and the animals) to offer and nurture offspring as commanded in Genesis one million:28 “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth.” This command is repeated to Noah after the Flood (Genesis 8:15-17). yet procreation isn't the only reason God made human beings as sexual beings. The BUWA rfile affirms “that sexual intimacy between husband and spouse is powerful, and is meant by God for bonding, exhilaration and procreation.”7 Thirdly, God gave guy and lady complementary roles with a view to bolster the kin unit. lady grew to become into to be the helper that guy necessary (Genesis 2:18). despite if, the lady's functionality simply by fact the helpmate is under no circumstances an inferior one. The enterprising God-fearing lady in Proverbs 31:10-31 is an inspiring functionality variety. As for the guy who commented that Christians declare that being gay is faulty, yet they bypass homestead and sleep with their boyfriend/lady chum.. you're precise this is incorrect and a sin is a sin. I completely disagree with a guy or woman being gay. Am I going to hate that guy or woman? definitely no longer! this entire gay bashing element has have been given to end! Do i think of they are going to bypass to hell in the event that they proceed to stay that existence variety? sure, yet so will a guy or woman who lies and gossips without asking God for forgiveness.

Christ never mentioned homosexuality... so Christians can be Christians and love gay people.... it's just many don't want to... and that's sad... and will soon be as embarrassing as being the last slave owner...

God has been the same since the beginning of time. Do you mean to ask if He'll change in the next twenty years?

I am NOT going to re-interperate the Bible and lie to my children or grandchildren. I'll tell them to be respectful of others' beliefs, but remind them they do NOT have to accept their beliefs as good or true. You can't compare homosexuality and racial prejudice; they're two different things. God loves everyone, including homosexuals, but that does not mean he approves of what they do.

well, this is an intersting question. i have nothing against any types of races, or on sexual orientation. but religious people say that it is a crime to love one of the same gender. but i don't think they have the right to judge that. love is love. you can love whomever you want.
