Should I do a tune up to my VW 99 Passat car?

according to carfax, it was last serviced /checked (anti freezem cooling system, beraks, lubed oil, filter, engine) at 55 625 miles back in 04. Right now my car is 64 665 something miles

No, replacing a timing belt is much more involved.

these are two totally diiferent things. First of all to replace a time belt is going to be much more work in that you would have to get inside the engine. A tune up is just more of a check up. you check several different thing to make sure they are in working order. Also you probably dont need to get a tune up...youve still got a good 50,000 miles to go..unless you notice anything wrong

no , replacing a timing belt usually requires a little more work and the labor to do to this is typically expensive, but still has nothing to do with a tune up.

Actually a tune-up includes new spark plugs, ignition wires, distributer cap and rotor. They usually check the timing also.
