What is the stupidest thing you ...?

What is the stupidest thing you've said or done at work? Did you get fired or in trouble for it? I'll give the points to the one that makes me laugh the most but not if you ask for them with a story that sounds phony. Trust me I've done a couple of doozy's so I know that it can happen.

Okay here's two of the things I did. I'll add one more with my pick.

One time I was working in a grocery store and my mind was wandering while I was making announcements so I ended the announcements with "Thank you for shopping at KMart." Not only did the whole store hear that so did the strictest manager we had. He got a kick out of it thank goodness.

Then another time at a fast food restraraunt at the drive thru I asked the customer if their meal was for here or to go. In my defense it was the first time I had been on drive thru and it was in spanish.

Can you top that?

One time I was walking into work and a black gentleman was walking out of work, and I innocently said to him "Free at last". He reported me, and I got reprimanded for it. THINK BEFORE I SPEAK!!!

I worked in accounting and had a supervisor that drove me nuts! One day I was at the end of my rope, I was sitting in the office managers office calming down and my supervisor walked in hands on her hips and demanded to know what I was doing. I said getting away from you! She looked at me then she looked at the office manager and went back to her office without saying anything else. I said this in front of her boss! Her boss laughed because she knew how hard the supervisor was to work with!

Another time (same supervisor) decided no one could talk to me on wednesdays (data entry for payroll day) sent out memoes to the whole office. I complained at the head office, so everybody from the main office made a point to stop at my desk on wednesdays for a chat! She could not do anything about it!

One of my jobs in the Navy was to make announcements on the ship's intercom. Everyday, when this vending truck came to our pier, I was supposed to say "Attention all hands, the Navy Exchange Mobile Canteen is now on the pier".

That was too long winded for me so I shortened it to "The roach coach is on the approach"

I wasn't allowed to use the intercom after that.

I sneezed one time and I had a tissue in my had but the booger went past the tissue and was on my chest and I was like for about an hour. My friend said hey, what is that on you? I said I don't know? She said it looks lie a booger and everybody was there and IT was my BOOGER how gross is that???? I was so embarrassed! It is funny now though

I worked at ford moter company and all my friends got back from lunch on time and they were laughing at me because I was going to be marked late. So I turned the machine off that my friend was working on and I knew maintiance would have to help her turn it back on and she would have to explaine why.
