Well, connect with an ethernet cable, log in to the router from a web browser and read the pass phrase or reset the pass phrase.

You don't need a pass phrase if you "hardwire"!

The router settings are all stored in the router not your computer!

All of the data is still on your drive until you write to it again. Try to retrieve the data using one of the post-format recovery tools.
