Anger in itself is not an undesirable trait.

The loss of control is what makes anger undesirable. Example:

Your in a car wreck and your child is stuck inside. You can not get them out and the more you try the more you hurt yourself and the angrier you get.

Loss of control is yelling screaming and freaking out.
Controlled anger makes you stronger. Not just the adrenalin, but the determination, focus and drive that anger creates.

I think to be critically specific on the topic you have to define what you are trying to convey.....

Let me clarify:

There is a BIG difference between anger which is a common daily human emotion...Anger is a precursor to something much more severe....Wrath....Hatred and Ultimately vengeance.

Anger for the most part is a benign emotion...something that comes and goes in ones day....however problems arise when one dwells on the anger, letting it fester to a burning hatred.

Anger Wrath and Vengeance surface in the following forms.

Intolerance of others due to Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation, gender or age.

Anger can also cause "tunnel vision" people driven by hate rarely are open to accepting new mindsets or concepts.

Anger is also hereditary...not on a genetic level, but if a child is raised in and angry and hateful environment they are more likely to fall victim to anger as an adult.....Children who suffered at the hands of an abusive parent are statistically more like to become abusive themselves as a parent...

Anger is not so much the problem....its the individuals lack of self control that causes the problem...Anger is a part of everyday life....it's how we deal with it that counts!

Hope this helps!

Anger is not one of the seven deadly sins. Wrath is. There is a difference... I see the difference as being that anger is the emotion; wrath is when you act upon it. Wrath is noted as a manifestation by the definition ie. making thought into action.

Anger; Noun: A strong feeling of displeasure or hostility.

Wrath; Noun:

Forceful, often vindictive anger.

Punishment or vengeance as a manifestation of anger.
Divine retribution for sin

anger is a natural unpreventable emotion. just like jealousy, and obbssesion, people can control it if they want to. it is an undesirable trait because the negative energy is so emotionally DRAINING, not only to yourself, but to those around you. some people thrive off all that drama. but some only in small doses. those who have no passion or feelings at all either are BOOOORING!! so., i would say its good to an extent. too much is bad.

Anger is not an undesireable trait, in fact I prefer to socialize with people who have some intensity, motivation, life in them than yuppie, spineless pushovers who say anger is a bad thing.

Like others have said. Anger is not bad in the appropriate context. Regarding the seven sins, the Bible teaches to "be angry AND sin not". It's not the anger, it's the lack of control and the following sin that's bad. It's good to be angry about rape. It's good to be angry about murder. It just bad to sin because of it.

anger is fine if you don't cross the boundries that may impede on another right to exist in peace. For the most part anger hurts only the one who is angry. Unless that anger turns to violence. I laugh at angry people because they really do look like idiots when they lose their cool

It prevents you from being able to communicate with others successfully. If you were angry all the time, you probably wouldn't have a stable social network. Social Psychologists believe that having someone to talk to is vital to maintaining a healthy life...

angers in not a bad thing if you can control it & keep it in perspective,
We all get angry from time to time... however some deal with it better than others

people often avoid angry people because they are often very unhappy and grumpy, can be violent, and will often be a pain for others to deal with or talk to without having them get mad at them too
