Could u guys tell me the answer cus i need it for school. Thanxs

If you checked NASA's web page on the subject you would find there are three in service (Atlantis, Discovery, Endeavour). There were two more that flew and were subsequently lost (Challenger, Columbia), plus one prototype for glide tests (Enterprise).

6 shuttles have been built, 5 of which were spaceworthy
Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour
(enterprise was earth flown for testing only)

Challenger was destroyed in 1986
Columbia was destroyed in 2003.

Atlantis will be used in dec 2007
Endeavour will again used in 2008
Discovery will be used in 2008
