You don't get identical twins that are girl-boy. I have identical twin girls Antonia and Kimberlee. My sister has twin boys Nathan & Ross and my aunt has twin boys Jonathan & Timothy. My husband is Edward and his twin is Elizabeth.

The majority of Identical twins end up having names that either 1.)rhyme or 2.)start with the same letter. Twins are really just two individuals that happen to look alike. As a twin, I'd say allow them their own identities and start with the names!
As for naming children, I'd pull from your past! (at least for middle names).......Grandparents love to know you're honoring your family by selecting family names..it carries on your family lineage~

I think you should give them completely separate names, so that they have some identity. I think it sounds sad when twins have matching names. Or you could always opt for Bubble and Squeak or Pepsi and Cola. Good luck.

twins hate having matching names, if that what you're getting at. It's hard enough to look exactly like each other. Twins are two completely separate people, and hardly anyone acknowledges that. Just name them like any other child.
I'm an identical twin, so, yeah, i know what I'm talking about
