People are attacking Brady and the Patriots for running up the score, and saying Brady and the Patriots are classless. If you were a player and the coach sent you in what would you do? I always gave it 100% every down. Their not the one calling the plays so if you feel the need to blame anyone blame the coaching staff but give it a rest with calling the team classless.

Once again nobody came remotely close to understanding my point. Can't say I'm surprised. As a play if the coach sends you in and call a play that going to score what are you supose to do? Thrown and int on purpose?

I would give it my all each and every time............If I have a chance to set an NFL record and at the same time getting accused of running up the score I'll opt to set that record any time...........Also think about the betting in football..........Football is the sport that has the biggest amount of betting.........If a team fails to cover the line, yet wins, how many are going to say that team didn't score because who knows who bet on the other team.......I hope you get my drift on that...........As for the cheating, yes they did cheat and I'll never know why........They are a team that doesn't need to cheat in any way, shape or form...........Players make the big bucks and are expected to give their all each and every time............Running up the score to me is a bunch of bull........Washington was a lost cause already and couldn't come near beating the Pats so what's the gripe???..........The gripe is Patriot haters will always have something to complain about..........When a team is consistently on top the whiners are out in full..............CAT

I am a ravens fan with otherwise neutral feelings towards the Patriots.
I watched the game and I don't really blame them for scoring what they did. Every team plays to win. The Skins played so bad that even the Pats backup QB scored a couple touchdowns. I guess they could have sent in some of the second string guys earlier in the game since the skins were already down about 21-0 at the half but they still would have won.
People need to remeber that the Pats have a great offense and if the other team doesn't play well then it will sho more in the score than anywhere else. The Ravens have a great defense but they weren't blamed when they sacked Rothlisberger 5 times in one game last year or when they hold teams to like 30 yards of total offense.
Smart fans realize that it is the fault of the coaching staff more than anyone else. Brady can't decide to take himself out of the game and put in backups.

Well, the Coach himself took the blame for the cheating scandal or whatever. And he also took credit for the high scoring saying: "Thats what teams are supposed to do! Score!" Tom Brady doesn't call all of the plays. He does what the coaches instruct him to do. I'm sure there may be plays he calls on his own, but most of the play calling is up to the coaches. The Patriots are a great football team! People really need to just get over it! The best thing to do is shut them down! I mean all this talk about cheating and running up the score is no excuse for not playing your best or whatever. The redskins fumbled like 4 times or whatever and when you do that any team can beat you 52 - 7! You just gotta play your best game to beat these guys!

So its Bellechicks fault? Wouldn't he be one of the most prominent faces of the Pats themselves? And players can have input on the plays. Audibles are just one example. More than that, many great QB's in the past have had a high amount of say over the playcalls or at least input. Elway himself used to call plays frequently. So part of my issue here would be that Brady accepts and willingly goes along with the classless act, and is too much of a machine and wuss to speak up or do anything about it. Either that or he WANTS to, and thats were he would be defined as classless

I agree 100% with Dixiecowman. I think it is the reasoning behind the Patriots running up the score and the arrogance behind it that is making people attack the Patriots verbally. A guilty man will act in anger after his reputation has been tarnished, while an innocent man will humbly try to repair his reputation.
Good grief, breaking an NFL rule is a bit different than committing an actual crime. If a person commits murder or rape, they aren't concerned about their reputations, they are concerned about spending the rest of their life in prison or getting a lethal injection.

The Pats have learned their lesson and they took every video which belong to the teammates and staff, they also lose a draft pick, and they were fined. They took away every single video, even Belichick's Bon Jovi collection. The Patriots do have class, they're the best damned team in the NFL. Give it a rest just because you're favorite teams lost against them. Teams are supposed to score points. If you think the Pats suck because of that video tape scandal well then you're a, DEE DEE DEE!

It's not that they do it, as much as the how and why they do it,
the Colts did it long before the Pats, but they weren't doing it for revenge, or to rub another teams nose in it.
Also, the Colts have matured. Does anyone think they couldn't have scored 40+ against the Panthers?
But...they didn't. They did the honorable thing, and put their backups in midway through the 4th quarter.
I've got a feeling that the Pats are going to get a lesson in "running up the score" from the MASTER!

innocent people don't act in anger when they are accused? You have not spent much time at a DA's office, have you?

because they cheated & because they're winning. If it had been any other coach I personally feel the consequences would have been much worse. So now everything the team does will be questioned.
