If you are comparing to USB, you can't rest assured knowing that your PCI card in't going to become disconnected or broken like a USB NIC that sticks out from your PC.

Keep in mind that wireless PCI NICs may not work as well (to a small extent) if the PC in question is located under or enclosed in a desk.

If price is an issue and they are of comparable speed, I would go PCI provided you don't have to remove any other necessary PCI cards.

wired or wireless...actually it doesnt matter. get the pci one it will be easier to use. usb relies too heavily on software and can be a pain sometimes
