Is there a way to lookup what device belongs to a MAC address online were it would say like:
Manufacturer: Apple Computer
Type: Portable (Laptop)
or something similar to that.

There are some programs that get close for you. If may NOT show exactly what you want like Mfg and Type since those are not part of the required network protocols. (most will show the "computer name" if it is on the "sending" machine)
