I am going to set up a 125 gallon tank and fill it with livebreeders to get a lot of fry. I have a cycled tank for the fry to go in, it is only like 10 gallons. I am going to get mollies, guppies, platy, and swordtail. I want to know what type of these fish are particularly cool. I know I will have black mollies and fancy guppies, but I want to know what sort of these fish are really cool, like dalmation mollies, delta guppies, etc., and how many of each type of livebreeder I should get.

Instead of messing around with little fish in such a big tank, why not get some nice, large fish? Pike Livebearers (Belonesox belizanus) are spectacular and will reach about 6-8 inches and display truly fascinating behavior and color. They are predatory, so they may need feeder fish like Guppies or small fry (you could use your culls as food). Give them a well planted tank, and they will become your favorite fish. Email me if you have any questions or interest in Pike Livebearers.

Livebearers? I dont know about you, but I'm looking for a really cool girlfriend...lol

As for fish, I am partial to the mollies also, and I really enjoyed living in Florida and having access to the wild mollies that live there. Sailfins are my favorite, but I also like the marbles and natural color-variants (such as dalmatians)as well. And I was amazed at just how often these turn up in the wild.

As for guppies, check around for private breeders, as they tend to have interesting and healthy stock. GOOD LUCK finding healthy swords or platies! This was always a hit or miss prospect, and beware of fin and tail rot in these 2 types. Avoid guppies and swords with any black fins, as these are particularly susceptable to rot and cancer. You might try placing an order from your local dealer(s), and/or having them call you whenever a new shipment arrives, so you can get first dibs on the arriving stock. I did much better this way, and got some great new additions for my live-bearing tanks.

puttin in different species is prolly not the best idea. the platies will try to breed with mollies. guppies with swordtails and itll be one big mess with the result dead fish and torn fins.

you should stick to one species. probably guppies would be best since they are hardy and look good. and if you can get your genetics right you can get some really awesome looking fish. try to keep to a rule of 2-3 females per male. and what you could probably do is start with about 20-40 fish and breed them so you don't have to spend as much ca$h.

avoid the mollies! Those fish are fin nippers, and can cause trouble to your guppies. I'd mostly stick with the swordtails, platies, and guppies. Just avoid the mollies no matter how pretty they look. I've had constant trouble with these fish.

I was thinking that celebes halfbeaks would be a great. But, they might attack your guppies or any of the fry that happen to swim bye.

I would generally get maybe a pair of each coloration of livebearers. I woudl start out with 4-6 of each fish so that they can breed and you will have room for each fry that they produce.

even though it is a 125, you dont want to overstock it, remember that the fry will need a place to live when they are large enough.

So with that... i personally love sail fin mollies, massive males with their tall dorsals. I love the albino orange type and wild green mollies.

Also what is unqiue are halfbeaks. One of the rarer livebearers, they look like mini gars and are livebearers.

one million. Steelers - i'm biased, however the Steelers' emblem represents the city of Pittsburgh, their homestead city. i do no longer think of the different team can say that. 2. Packers - The Packers are the main historic team in NFL historic past. Their helmet is easy, yet a classic. 3. Cowboys - i'm no longer a huge fan of the Cowboys, yet their helmet, as with the two communities above, is a classic. this is common. BQ: 30. Buccaneers 31. expenditures 32. Bengals
