Wow, this explains alot. I have respect for some conservative fiscal views. However, I think that modern conservatism is almost entirely faith based. It's like a giant religious cult. Which is sad because some conservative ideas are good.

Some people might call me an atheist, but I just didn't grow up in a religious environment. I think religion is good if it's not extreme. It's good to have faith in something. I always thought I was a Democrat when I was young. Now I know I'm a Conservative.

As far as I'm concerned, too many Atheists ARE conservative, which only benefits the theocrats they get into bed with politically.
