I have narrowed the worst MVP snubs ever down to 3: 2 times the same man was snubbed (Ted Williams.)
1942: Williams - .356 avg. / 36 HR / 137 RBI (Wins the Triple Crown.)
***Gets beat out by Yankee Joe Gordon - .322 / 18 / 103. The Yankees finish 9 games ahead of the Red Sox, and go on to lose the World Series 4-1 to the St. Louis Cardinals.
1947: Williams - .343 / 32 / 114 (Again winning the Triple Crown.)
***Gets beat out by Yankee Joe DiMaggio - .315 / 20 / 97. The Yankees finish 14 games ahead of the Red Sox and go on to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers 4-3 in the World Series.
1934: Lou Gehrig - .363 / 49 / 165 (Wins the Triple Crown and finishes 5th, yes FIFTH, in the MVP voting.)
***Mickey Cochrane wins the award with these numbers - ..320 / 2 / 76. The Tigers beat out the Yankees by 4 games to win the A.L. pennant with Cochrane as their player-coach. They go on to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers 4-3 in the World Series.
Which of these (or others) would you consider the worst?

Nice research. Ted Williams screwed himself when he spat on few media/sports writers during a post game interview. From that day on he got no love from the press and baseball writers. They saw to it that he got screwed out of the MVP's you listed above and any other awards that they could prevent him from winning. So you can blame Ted for in some ways biting the hand that fed him in this case.
Lou not winning the MVP in 1934 was wrong but you can bet it didn't bother him.

I would say 1934, but I would need to know if the 42 Red Sox were a "close" nine games out or not - meaning were they in the race and faded or were they never a contender. Gehrigs numbers in 34 are better than Ted's 42 numbers, but Cochrane did play a more important defensive position.
As for recent snubs, though not in the same category as these. I think one could say 1991 was interesting in that Barry Bonds was denied at the hands of Terry Pendleton and Cal Ripken Jr. won the MVP though his team lost 97 games - how valuable are you when your team is that bad? That is why I also think Andre Dawson should not have won the MVP in 87 but that Will Clark or Ozzie Smith should have.

Ron Guidry, 1978. 25 - 3, 1.78 ERA. Jim Rice had a great year BUT -- the two teams tie and play a one-game playoff. Guidry and the Yanks beat Rice and the Red Sox. If that wasn't an acid-test between the two contenders. . .Don Newcombe won it before for the Dodgers and Roger Clemens later for the Red Sox so the tired old 'pitchers don't win MVPs doesn't cut it in this case. He was robbed.

actual, Dwight Howard became exceptionally for sure the MVP of the season. No different participant had to shoulder a load like Howard. he's the terrific shielding participant contained in the league and punctiliously makes that protection. the the remainder of that team is thoroughly ineffective defensively. placed that with the actuality that he's likewise their premier scorer and quantity one decision offensively and led them to fifty two wins...he became for sure the MVP. And if no longer Howard than it became Dirk. Sorry, only can no longer get in the back of that Bron became the MVP. Wade's information and effect on the interest is exceptionally much precisely equivalent to his, so no.

How about 1999 when Pedro got robbed when Ivan Rodriguez won AL MVP? Or 1941 when Teddy Ballgame again got robbed? Of your 3 choices I vote for Gehrig getting robbed.

1989 - Both leagues had major snubs...Yount over Sierra and Gibson over Strawberry (Gibson had the worst stats of an MVP winner that I can remember). Sierra was still the "Village Idiot", while Darryl was...hmmm, not sure why.
1995 - Vaughn over Belle, but that was obvious why.

Ruth 1927 -- though at the time, the pre-BBWAA MVP was allegedly available only once per player, and Ruth had taken it home in 1923.
Rodriguez 1996
McGwire 1998
Martinez 1999
Williams 1941 -- yeah, DiMaggio had a typically very good season, but that Streak just dazzled the writers. But then, so does bits of broken glass sparkling in the sunshine, or the sound of a fresh bottle of Jack Daniels being unsealed.
