WW2 took place between 1939 & 1945. The Axis powers, consisting of germany, Italy, Spain & Japan fought against the Allied forces consisting of England, France, Russia & the USA. Japan surrendered after 2 Atom bombs were dropped on it ( at Hiroshima & Nagasaki) and Germany surrendered after the D-day invasion by thousands of Allied troops from several fronts in Europe.
