YES!!! the doctors should have told you to let your baby get some sun from day one, even if you just sit with her next to a window where the sun is shining through. this helps the baby's liver work better, it keeps them from getting jaundice. plus, natural sun light has vitamin D, which helps improve your mood, and may make baby happier.

Sunlight is good for newborns. Instead of using sunblock, just dress her in a lightweight long sleeve shirt, put a hat on her, and take a nice walk. I would limit direct sun exposure to about 15-20 minutes at a time. Its good for you too!

The sun provides Vitamin D, which is great for newborns. Just make sure she isn't directly in the sunlight and don't leave her out for too long. Her skin is still very sensitive and she's too young for sun block.

I think it is ok for babies to get some sun but the morning one before 10 am as they shall get Vitamin D which is good for bone development. V used to keep our babies in sun without their face in sun as the sunlight is too much for their sensitive eyes

Yes, that's fine. Don't stay out more than 1 hour. Too much sun can give skin cancer since you can't put sunblock on the baby.

as long as you have sun lotion on her, she should be fine. My doc told me to put my baby in the son when she had jondis, so i'm sure its ok. Just not too much sun.

Not direct sun - shade is ok and good for the baby. Do not use any sunscreen on a baby that young - even "infant" sunscreen.

Indirect sunlight wont hurt, but you should avoid direct sunlight. My daughter was jaundice and my doctor recommended her getting indirect sunlight to help push the bilirubin from her body....so some sun is fine, just not direct

Sun isn't great for babies sensitive skin.

I was told to keep them protected for the first few months.

NEVER use sunscreen on babies under 6 months.
