Please, don't say Parsons. It isnt a real college and you dont get a degree by going there.
Does anyone know of any real colleges that offer good fashion programs?

What? Parsons isn't a real school, and doesn't give a real degree? It's one of the top art schools in the world, and it's in the top 10 programs for fashion design. It's elite. It's fabulous. Where are you getting your info? Oh my goodness (goes to fan self, as am in shock.)
I would recommend Parsons. I would also recommend the Fashion Institute of Technology. Both are in NYC, the fashion capital of N. America, and they are the top two fashion design programs in the nation. Their alumni do great things, and you'll have wonderful opportunities afforded to you if you attend either one.
Fashion design is a highly competitive field. It pays to get into the best possible program that you can, do internships/co-ops in the field, and come out with a fabulous portfolio. You're going to get that first job by networking, by the reputation of your program, and through the strength of that portfolio.
Other very strong fashion schools are Otis, in Los Angeles (as opposed to FIDM, which is very popular but not particularly respected in the field), and RISD, in Providence. I also like the programs at Pratt, in NYC - very strong - at Academy of Art University, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Cincinnatti, Kent State, and SCAD. But really, the two biggest, most powerful names in the industry, are Parsons and FIT.
No matter where you go to school, make sure you come out of there with related work experience. Do an internship or co-op in the fashion industry, ideally for a design house or similar. Even if they have you photocopying paperwork, it's an opportunity to meet people, and to get a good credential on your resume.

Good heavens, where did you hear that Parsons isn't a real school that doesn't give degrees? Like the other person said, it's one of the top schools in the world, and very competitive. Fashion Institute of Technology is probably second (they are both in Manhattan in NYC), and Rhode Island School of Design is third.
There are a lot of private instititues who have dubious credentials and probably aren't worth the money to attend. Those are the ones you have to worry about.
In some states, a community college will have a fashion design program; you have to ask your counselor if you are in school, or check with community colleges in your area. Parsons, FIT and RISD are all the "big league," while state schools are more for the area in which you live.

The University of Cincinnati has a very strong fashion design program in the College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP). It's fairly affordable compared to other fashion schools, is in a great location, offers amazin co-op/intern opportunities, and has some of the best professors. I also believe it is nationally ranked very high. Check out the website for more information

International College of Fashion(www.icf.edu.in) is the real.its provide a lot of fashion design course like as: BBA in fashion designing, MBA degree in Fashion Designing, PG Diploma in Fashion , PG in fashion designing.........so more.

Well i think you shouldnt ask people about which college would be better just go to the colleges website and see the fashion part of their college see what they do but i want to go to anapolis and with my grades im going :-) but i think utah state has the best fashion part of their college

One of the best is F.I.D.M which is the fashion institute of design and merchandising. It is a great school. Academy of Art University is also a good school.

Yea, FIT in Manhattan. It's amazing. Graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and now I design for a luxury brand. You will LOVE it.
