Yes, it works by removing the surrounding paint until it is level with the scratch...

A few points to note:

1. it will thin the paint, be careful with it.
2. it will make the paint colour like new, so if your paint has faded, you may have to do the whole car.
3. it works best with unlaquered solid finishes, it doesn't work as well with metallics, and you will have to respray with laquer afterwards.
4. Although T-Cut is a household name, I suggest you try Farecla G10, as this is what the Pro's use...

If it is a surface scratch T-Cut will cut back the paint and help to disguise the mark. If the scratch has exposed the primer, or bare metal, it will not be of any use. Only repainting will have the best effect.

Some of the coloured polishes can be of use in lessening the effects of the scratch damage.

If the top coat has been covered with a lacquer, T-Cut can damage it and make a bad situation worse. Check it out first.

You probably have 2 layer paint. Base coat and Lacquer. If it's just the top layer that's scratched then T-cut or any slightly abrasive polish will help You could even use Brasso! If the scratch is into the base coat or down to the primer you need one of the specialists to make a decent job of it. The coloured wax polishes are also quite good at concealing shallow scratches.

If your car has been keyed then you'll probably need to get a scratch fixing paint kit, the ones with the paint bottle with the tiny brush. When it's dry go over the area with T-Cut. Continuous use of T-Cut on its own will just take you down to bare metal eventually.

Unfortunately T Cut will not get the scratch out of your car unless it is only down to the next layer of paint. If the scratch is down to the bare metal it wont work for you.

I have used T-Cut to get rid of scratches and it does work very well, it should not do any harm using it regularly but read the instructions on the back of the bottle. I have even used it around the house on ceramic tiles etc.

positioned on tight elastic bands/hair bands around your wrist. Flicking them will bypass away crimson marks, yet once you purely positioned on the band for some hours, it could have marked your wrist. positioned some commencing place on the perimeters of the marks so as that they appear like they're right now strains. or only use a felt tip.
