The causes of leaving school early may be : preganancy, lack of motivation, problems at home, expulsion, probelms at school (other kids) Consequences are : low paying jobs, not moving ahead and a variety of other things. There is a GED now and many students have gotten it and continued with college. Its possible nowadays so dropping out of school isnt always the end of the world.

Although there are a multitude of issues that help students to decide that school is "not for them", everything from bad schools, to bad administrators, bad teachers and peer pressures; the number one reason that kids quit school is a lack of parental support! Parents either don't understand the value of an education or they are not present or involved in their children's educational upbringing..... This is the salient factor in today's drop out issue and yes there will always be exceptions to this and every rule....but look to the parents FIRST!!! Look also to the kids who buck the trend and they will typically support the rule!!

Legally, they can't drop out until they are 16. Consequences are that they can't get a job better than a fast food type job and usually end up on welfare. Why do they drop out? Ignorance. I mean, good Lord, how hard is high school that you can't pass with at least a D average???? I mean, all you basically have to do is show up.

I'm beginning to believe that a high school education is meaningless. Since we went to that wonderful LIBTURD experiment of "SOCIAL PROMOTION", we've produced nothing but functional illiterates...
