Exchange rate for Swiss Francs to which currency? You can fix it at the rate ruling on 31 Oct 2007 for the month of Nov. For Dec, you can fix it at the rate ruling on 30 Nov. Theoretically you're supposed to use the rate prevailing at the time of each transaction, but that would be too cumbersome and most accountants would fix one rate for the whole month, provided that the rate did not fluctuate wildly that month. Don't forget to note down the rates thus used for the 12 months of the year, as you'd end up with 12 rates in a year. Some companies with holding companies have their holding companies fix the rates for the whole group.
