Spread out a large piece of cardboard. Park the car on the cardboard. When you see stains on the cardboard, crawl underneath & see where the fluid is coming from & what type of fluid it is.
► Engine Oil - Brown
► Brake Fluid - Clear
► Antifreeze - Green or Pink
► PS Fluid - Red or Brown
► ATF - Red
► Windshield Washer - Blue or Pink
► A/C Lubricant - Green

Determine the severity of the leak & check all fluid levels. Some of the oil leaks can be very expensive to repair, such as rocker cover gaskets. Gaskets are cheap, but require a excess labor to replace. Park it on a piece of cardboard so it won't stain your driveway.

This is one of those rare times in which the year, make, and model are superfluous (normally, I have to BEG people to leave such seemingly important details! Of course, some people purposely give false details in hopes of marring a car manufacturer's reputation! I'm sure that's not YOU, though!). ;)

Regardless, without knowing the location of the leak and other details, we cannot help you. For all we know, it could be just due to the car having splashed in oily goo, and you might not be identifying the right kind of "oil": steering fluid, perhaps? transmission fluid? universal joint fluid? etc.

If you can't figure it out on your own, then take the car to a trusted mechanic.

Good luck!

have a professional drain your oil pan, find the leak (probably a hole in the pan) and buy a new one and put fresh oil in the car.
