I,d have to say Sean Connery as the vintage bond films where very much embedded and rooted in cold war era anti soviet sentiment and values that define the bond character and Sean Connery is the only bond that truly has the panache to portray such a suave iconic character of that particular era. Whereas Rodger Moore appeared to be more appear to be more of a foppish comic relief-esque bond and the Less said about George Lazenbury the better.
Of the modern bonds I'd have to say that that Daniel Craig takes it over Peirce Brosnan every time, however by modering bond up and taking him away from the cold war era setting I feel that we lose something imperceptible yet fundamental about the character, something which no matter how good the modern bonds are, just dosent seem to shine through in the modern films.
The only actor to posses this certain something is the definitive James bond Sean Connery.

Sean Connery, by far, the only true Bond. I mean come on, he looked like a British secret agent pimp. And listen to how he says "Shaken not Stured". Its like he is talking about a woman, and just saying "Come to Big Daddy, you know you wanna". Plus women still think hes hot to this day. You can't say that about Pierce, he looks too gay to be a Bond. I mean did you see Dante's Peak. His acting sucked! And Roger Moore is gay. No offence, but how is a gay guy going to pull that much a*s. And Daniel Craig, he made bond look like he had some kind of inferorty complex.

Easy! Sean Connery was the best James Bond ever!
As for his movies, for me there is no best. They're all great. Why? Because they were about...Bond...James Bond.
Golly Moses, I love him!

Pirate Princess is right. Sean Connery was the only REAL James Bond for me. BUT -- Daniel Craig was most impressive. Let's see another movie with him before voting, but he deserves his day. Right now, 1 & 2.

Sean Connery, hands down! roger Moore is a close second.
Sean was the sexiste, and the most dashing, and the wittiest, and pulled it off effortlessly like that was really him and not just a role. I really liked Golfinger. It's hard for me to choose a favorite movie though.
On no, it's Octopussy- THAT'S MY FAVORITTE!

Sean Connery, without a doubt. Of the films he did, my favourite is "You Only Live Twice". I think it's hilarious to see him made up to try and look like a Japanese peasant! Classic. Also notable as the only one where Bond doesn't have a car.

I'm going to say I used to like Sean Connery but then I saw him in The Last Knight or whatever crappy film that was lol.
I like Pierce in "Golden Eye," but some of his later films got way cheesy, even more so than Bond is meant to be.
