No, why would that be bad?
If you don't have a Myspace, that means you just didn't follow along with the majority. The site was a fad that reached its peak about a year ago .. now it's heading downhill.
If you don't already have one, now's not a good time to join.

Is it bad? not at all
If you like social networking sites like Facebook and Hi5; MySpace is basically the same thing only YOU the user have more control over what you put on your page.
With MySpace, you are able to write your own pages script through HTML. This allows you to put things such as scrolling text, pop-up windows and other such codes onto your page.
your favorite bands, politicians, complete strangers, really anybody who you want.
It is much different from Facebook and much more diverse because the user has more control than the website does about what is posted on the site.
It is not bad to not have an account, you won't turn into a social outcast because of it. A knowledge of HTML code is not necessary, you can Google help pages and copy and paste pre-made codes for you page.

Having or not having a MySpace profile is neither good or bad. I don't have one and it really doesn't impact my life in any way. My wife just set on up for herself and it hasn't impacted her life other than having a new hobby to update content for a profile.

No! Not at all! I had it in college and still do, but never go on. Once I started dating my now finance I had no use for it. I honestly think it's like Match.com without all that comes with the "Match.com" title. Esp. with all the creepos that ask to be your friends. I mean really... networking? Come on.. People always say they've "connected" with old friends.. like wtf.. all my friends worth having are in my address book and I call them. I don't myspace message them! :)

no but i have one because i do not have all my cell phone numbers so i just talk to them on the web and i do not have all of there email names so i talk to them there
