I heard that when I was little but never knew if it was true.

Bugs like cockroaches and silverfish (along with plenty other smaller ones) like to eat the sticky part of the envelope and the glue on the inside of books. Germs, of course, live everywhere.

If your envelopes are brand new, you're probably safe but if you find one sitting under the sink that looks as old as Aunt Mabel I wouldn't use my tongue to wet the glue. I'd use a wet sponge or something of that sort.

Catholicism got here first. The be conscious 'Catholic' potential 'customary', 'which incorporates all Christians or all of Western Church'. Catholics have been the 1st Christians. Roman Catholic Church (in Vatican) is the 1st legit Christian Church. Catholicism got here from Judaism and by using advert 394 Christianity grew to grow to be the legit faith of the Roman empire. it fairly is after the Reformation for the duration of the sixteen th century that Roman Catholicism chop up and had 2 different branches - Protestantism and Orthodoxy . Roman Catholicism, Protestanism and Orthodoxy are the three significant branches or denominations of Christianity. those 3 significant branches and a few 'different' Christians are at the same time favourite as Christianity. So while you're a Catholic meaning you're a Christian. once you introduce your self it fairly is much less confusing for others to understand and greater gentle for you once you're saying ' i'm a Christian' or 'i'm a Christian - Catholic' than 'i'm a Catholic'.

yes and no,they eat the adhesive.Have you ever licked an envelope or stamp the wasn't sticky? Bugs, usually roaches, ate the glue.
Another tid-bit: if you eat sun flowers seeds, look for the ones with a small hole in the shell.Crack open the shell and you will see that the kernel is half gone;worm ate it.
People eat more insects than they realize, don't worry about it,it's all protein.

heres a story that might answer your question, in middle school my teacher told us about how one of her relatives cut her tounge licking an envelope, a couple weeks later there was a lump in her tounge so she went to the doctor. The doctor ended up cutting open her tounge to find some kind of bug. I forget what it was but still a bug IN your tounge. Apparently there were eggs on the envelope and when she cut her tounge they got inside. It seems a little far fetched, but anyways it might be a good idea to not be licking envelopes.

If by bugs you mean bacteria, I doubt it. There's this belief that "bacteria are everywhere," and it's true.....to an extent. Bacteria have to eat, too. I don't believe there is a lot of food for bacteria on the glue of an envelope.

Its true one of my customer had the habit of lickin it before sealing the envelope one time she got a tiny cut and didn't pay much attention to it when I saw her I told her it looked bad and she should check it ..it was all red and swollen and she said she had made an appointment to get a small surgery where they were to open the bump...when they did she had a buck of little roaches coming out...ewww right? well that's why they invented stick glue!!

no visible bugs but maybe bugs as big as bed bugs and all those other microscopic bugs may be on the envelope.

I would think so since they live everywhere else. I'll never forget, in high school they showed a film of a bed magnetized......there were these huge bugs eating on skin......gross! But, bugs live all over your body, you just don't see them.
