We used to go to the movies a lot until we had kids, now we hardly get out of the house at all, but tonight, we have the inlaws watching the kids overnight and we are sort of at a loss as to what to do? Also, we are on a tight budget and live the the outer-Chicago area.

Well, Congradulations first of all. Now, I wouldn't leave the nice quiet house. Heck no...stay home....Candlelit meal for 2, even if it is only a pizza and a big salad. Movie yeah....in the nude would be fine...(Cause no one is home and for heaven's sake don't answer the door) Take a hot bath or shower together, no hanky panky in the shower....just tease....Then on fresh n clean sheets....have at it....massage oil, whipped cream, p-nut butter, what ever....enjoy the night !!!

Ok stop at the drug store and pick up some nice little candles and then stop at the grocery store and fix his favorite meal...while at the drug store pick up some massage oil and give him a massage after dinner and take a long hot bath together by candle light. It's very inexpensive and VERY romantic. Just because you have kids doesn't mean that you can't have fun being married. Make love all night...try new positions you never know it may spark something that may have died down in the past. Make every moment count.

It's a blessing that you've made it to 5 years...feel grateful.

Who said you have to go out.

Rent a movie (low cost)

Light some candles and cook a meal together. This makes for a great time to talk and communicate and reconnect. Consider it like a relationship foreplay of sorts.

Eat the meal together by candlelight or even feed each other.

Take a bath together and have some nice dessert.

Just time spent together is worth the time without your children. It's all about reconnecting so do something where you can talk and reconnect.

Have a nice dinner and to the movies, then take a walk somewhere, the beach or downtown. Play this game that me and husband played, it will bring you both a lot closer. Tell him 25 things you love about him and why you fell in love with him. and he needs to tell you 25 things back. but take turns. The feeling of butterflies in the stomach may return!!After that maybe it a bar and drink then go home and get wild!!haha
