No. Very soon, marriage equality will exist in all 50 states. The homophobes that are blocking it are losing power every second. The rest of the world is changing too, rapidly so.
Do I think people are born gay? Yes. Although, one key thing about genetics is not all DNA is activated at birth - for example, over the course of a lifetime, identical twins' actually become quite different. It's because their environment activates their DNA in different ways. So, it's possible that over the course of childhood, some people with the propensity to become gay do so, while others don't. That would explain why, in identical twins, if one is gay there's a 50% (a very high probability, showing there's at least some genetic link) the other will be gay, but a 50% chance that the other twin won't.
That said, no matter how someone becomes gay, by the time they're old enough to realize it that sexuality is set in stone. IE people have absolutely, positively no control over whether or not they're gay (or straight, or bi, etc.).

It is unfair, and wrong to ban gay marriage. Every one is entitled to equal rights, and banning gay marriage is taking away the right to get married.
And yes, I believe most people that are gay are born gay, or at least, are born to be gay. Of course an infant is not going to think "yes, I am gay". But I think it is encoded in them. I've known I liked girls AND boys since I was 5. I do how ever think that in some severe cases, psychological and physical abuse and lead to homosexual tendencies. (such as being sexually abused as a child)
If your going to ban gay marriage, you need to ban other things too. You need to ban marriages for any one who is born different, rather it be blind, albino, small, or purple hair (I know that does not exist)! If your going to ban marriage based on something some one is born with, make it true for every one who is born a little bit different.

Banning gay marriage is just legalize hate and bigotry.
There is nothing that a gay person lacks that I or my husband (two straight people) have that should proclude them from ALL the same rights under the law that we have. Personally, I find it disgusting that more people don't see that.
Why would it matter if you are born gay or not?

No people are not born gay that would be the equivalent of saying I was born a thief or adulterer, everything in life is a choice. God made us male and female to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. Think of this honestly if God was okay with homosexuality the only way that children would be able to be conceived would not only be when a man and a woman came together, it would be if man and a man had sex and the same with woman. God's plan for family was and is MAN, WIFE AND CHILDREN! It's us who have distorted the plan by having sex without being married, having affairs and so on don't be deceived it may seem harsh and cruel because some will think they were born that way but it is a LIE.

You are not banning anything. What you are doing is destroying a whole way of life all because 8 per cent of the world’s population are afflicted with a highly curable, highly treatable mental illness known as HOMOSEXUALISM; much the same as ALCOHOLISM . . . It can be cured if only the so-called diseased person turns to the right treatment centers. Political money-grabbing leeches are not the right people to turn to. Calling clean, pure, God-fearing Christians names like bigot, basher, and phobic and hi-jacking otherwise fine words from the Webster’s Dictionary is NOT the answer either. The world is not going to just change for any 8 per cent of anything! The 92 percent is always going to be showing respect for the institution of marriage; unless they, themselves all become worthless, gutless failures in society, also. This not politics! This is common-sense!
