You ask the Million dollar question and their is no simple answer. It depends on the situation that is going on at the time. Me I'm a black male and I do see it happen to me and to others, but also I see a lot of things go in the opposite direction. I'll give you a example: My now ex-wife and still good friends which is white were driving and got pulled over by a white cop and he was going to give me a ticket because he said I did not turn on my signal. Another cop which was white pulled over and ask what did I do. When cop 1 told cop 2, cop 2 said you are not going to give a ticket for that and hopped on his motorcycle and drove off. For the record I did turn on my signal but it was low to the ground. 65' mustang. Well the cop did not give me the ticket I believe because of what the other cop said. So the answer is not yes or no because it is both. That is only in the US you might want to take a look around the world where other races are being tortured to death and treated worse than animals.
I just wanted to add from reading some of the responses. Why so much anger? Nobody has the right to be angry at the other but we are and why? Everyone keeps pointing the finger at the other. Remember God created man and woman not black man, white man, red man, yellow man etc.. He just created man then woman. Then again their might me some of you that does not believe in God either.

"Prosecutors said homeowner Shannon Edmonds opened fire..." "Hughes fled..." "Hughes was charged with first-degree murder under California's Provocative Act doctrine...." ::The Provocative Act doctrine:: does not require prosecutors to prove the accused intended to kill. Instead, "they have to show that it was reasonably foreseeable that the criminal enterprise could trigger a fatal response from the homeowner --- This I do not believe yet because this is the media. Until I see the NAACP on Tv actually complaining then...: "The NAACP complained that prosecutors came down too hard on Hughes..." You, and every other person wants to tear the NAACP down, so you guys will probably do and say what you can to accomplish this. As of now I only believe the NAACP are against the first degree murder charges. I don't believe everything in the media. --- Imo Shannon Edmonds shot two people for self defense, and because of that I don't think he should be charged for murder nor do I think Hughes should be charged for two killings he did not do. Hughes should be charged for attempted murder of the stepson, robbery, and burglary. The Provocative Act doctrine is really just something to be sure Hughes never has a chance to see daylight, which they did not need to use since the guy has three charges against him already. Maybe it was used just to save face for Shannon. Who knows. Umm...this is really not a race issue, but I see you are really caught up in this crap.

So Jim Crow was 40 years ago-not a lifetime like ppl like to pretend-& all racial bigotry & prejudice just evaporated into thin air-huh? Those same ppl who supported JC-many are still living. Add that to the fact they more than likely teach their belliefs & behaviors to their children. They were willing to commit arson, rape & murderJUST 40 years ago. But we're supposed to believe that they would drop something that they were willing to commit savage heinous acts for because.......why .....I'm not following-what's the reason?
And whites have ALWAYS complain, bit ched & moaned about every half step we've ever gained in society-so those of you who say that have a lot of nerve.

no, but I do think they think that they are being treated unfairly or atlest they use that as excuse of umm certain situations. Example: which would you buy? a white kid gets arrested and he say " you arrested my just because I'm white" or a black kid got arrested and he says " you arrested me just cuz I'm black" see the difference, they both said the samething but it's just the matter of the eye of the beholder.

Oh believe me, there's still a lot of racial prejudice against people of African descent out there. The problem is you never hear about any racial group other than whites or Jews discriminating against anyone else. Doesn't matter what color your skin is or where you're from -- every racial group has its bigots. Don't believe the mainstream liberal media. Whites and Jews do NOT hold the monopoly on racism.

it seems in some instances the unfair treatment is going in favor of blacks. Believe me-I am NOT a bigot. I have even dated a nice black girl a while ago and it was a pleasant relationship. There is a Congressional Black caucus, but not a white one. There is a Black History month (February) but not a white one, etc etc. I am all in favor of EQUAL treatment for ALL groups, regardless of ethnicity, but not favorable treatment for any group== black, white, or anyone else.

Yes. But, I think there are whites that are treated unfairly also.It is like we don't have rights, though, or can't yell discrimination. Fair is fair. Color should not be an issue.
