I have my driver's test in about 2 hours and the nerves are now taking over. I have had my permit since August 2006 and feel like I'm a pretty good driver but I'm afraid, of course, that these nerves will make me mess up. I've only ever driven with my mom, dad, or older brother in the car so I'm a little afraid to drive with a "stranger", especially one that is judging my every move. I'm really shy so it's always hard for me to be in a little space with someone I don't really know.
Does anyone have any tips for me?
What is something you did wrong on your drivers test?
AHHH!

Just breathe and relax. And the person sitting in the car with you will give you instructions and nothing else. So you don't have to be social.

Don't worry - you'll probably have to demonstrate basic skills in a parking lot first, then go out on the road. The examiners are used to nervous people, and they will try to help put you at ease.

To help calm yourself, take a few slow, deep breaths, and try to focus on your heartbeat. Think consciously about slowing it a little. It will help calm your nerves. Then picture yourself executing each maneuver flawlessly. Rehearse this and picture it in your mind a few times, and you'll do fine.

Yeah relax. Focus on driving as well as you can. Don't think of the guy as judging you--he's just helping to keep the roads safe.

Everyone is nervous on a driving test (even someone cool like me) so they will make allowances for it.
