with endearments like "sweetie" and "hon" in them?
ex....well "sweetie" that's how life is sometimes.

once in a while it's alright...but when you do it for every single one of your answers to everybody on here..
you have to wonder if this person is just "fake"

There are two main functions of terms of endearment. First, they create and acknowledge "intimacy" by inventing and maintaining a special shared knowledge. That knowledge is the meaning and usage of a chosen term of endearment. Second, they make the other person in a relationship feel valued and unique by using special terms which remind a person of their important role in the relationship. These two functions are demonstrated by what terms are used, by whom the terms are used, and in what social setting the terms are used.
Typically, people who use endearments are trying to put the other person as ease and make them feel more comfortable in certain situations. Although, not every one feels that receiving those endearments is comforting, I don't think that the person giving them is trying to be demeaning or condescending, or trying to kiss a$$ as others have said, I think it is just who they are and how they interact with people.

definite. it rather is stressful. at times i ponder whether I could even waste the attempt and time to come again up with a sturdy answer and in simple terms go away some speedy, a million/2-assed answer for the two factors. yet I continually ending up attempting my suitable. I parent the satisfaction of giving what i think is a sturdy answer is as worthwhile as ten factors (which do no longer advise something besides).

No...it doesn't bother me at all! I actually do that, like sweetie, babe, baby doll, sweetheart, and even hon! It isn't meant out of any disrespect or anything like that! For me it's just a southern thing and I say it to most people!!! If it bothers you I will try to remember to refrain from saying it to you!!! I will however still say it to MY sweetie babe, honey bun, lover Bunny...and HE♥ has my full permission to continue to say it to me!!! LOL =D

I'v said it a couple times but only when it's an answer to something sad and I am trying to be nice to the person. It's not that I am trying to kiss *** as you say but I'm just trying to be nice and concerned. =)

I've done that with my contacts sometimes, but as far as I know, they don't mind. As for others, I don't think I have, but I may be wrong.

yeah, i guess it gets stupid after a while. i have used "hunny" in some of my answers, like when i say "oh hunny please! let me tell you!!!" but never to kiss a.ss to anyone.
