An integrated circuit, or IC, is small chip that can function as an amplifier, oscillator, timer, microprocessor, or even computer memory. An IC is a small wafer, usually made of silicon, that can hold anywhere from hundreds to millions of transistors, resistors, and capacitors. These extremely small electronics can perform calculations and store data using either digital or analog technology.
Digital ICs use logic gates, which work only with values of ones and zeros. A low signal sent to to a component on a digital IC will result in a value of 0, while a high signal creates a value of 1. Digital ICs are the kind you will usually find in computers, networking equipment, and most consumer electronics.

I don't think your avatar is ugly. I've grown quite fond of it. There are a great bunch of people on here that know we are all by there side through thick and thin. When one starts to go down, we all grab them and bring them back up with us. Or maybe I should say drag them down with us. Cause we are some perverts in here and our minds are usually in lower places.

I could give a few reasons, but I like to remain a little in the gray area on that one. People tend to not give others credit for intelligence and I like to keep them off balance. Besides there are smarter people out there than me... and I don't like to brag :)

I am smart enough to know you are intrigued with the idea of driving to Atlanta. You have two weeks to talk the sweeties into a road trip.

Well, I got a 3.8 out of 4.0 overall GPA in HS. I graduated from the University of California with a Bachelor's in Sociology (top 5% in the nation).
Then, I stayed home with my three kids so *I* could raise them-- and have never placed them in daycare.
I homeschooled them for 3 years.
I found the resources to diagnose my food allergies/intolerances which then tested the rest of my extended family and got them better too.
I teach ESL to elementary school kids and when they work with me, their grades skyrocket.
AND I was smart enough to leave home *before* I ended up in the hospital-- even though "friends" told me I wasn't justified in leaving until things got to that point. I think that was my smartest move yet...

A smart and wise person does not admit to ever being smart or wise. There is always going to be someone smarter or wiser than ourselves.

I figured out that 2 degrees with honors (4.0) don't guarantee you jack!
Neither does membership in Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society!

why do you want a reason? I am smart and I don't need to give anyone a reason, and I'm secure in my smartness that I do not have to prove you right or wrong.
