They are walking together and come across a blind man with a large tin cup . Not wanting to be outdone they both reach for some cash to drop in the cup and while doing so notice its chuck full of rubies ,emeralds and diamonds worth millions of dollars .
They ask the blind man whats in the cup and he says he scoops up a large tin of dirt each day from a secret place to cover over the coins people give him .
So tell me what will these two men do given their political affiliations .

The republican might help him invest it to secure his future financially, the liberal would take it away from him telling him he is too rich and he needs to share it with other people

As a republican, I would question this man's motives because blind people have a keener sense of hearing and if he couldn't tell the difference between dirt and gems in a tin cup, then I doubt he was blind.
The democrat, I don't know what he would have done, I've never been democrat.

Republican - Tell the guy what's in the cup and help find him a bank to put it in.
Democrat - Tell the guy what's in the cup and then tell him he needs to steal 40% of it in order to share it with everyone else.
Republicans understand that people need to become independent, Democrats would take the guys money and then point him in the direction of the homeless shelter, even though he has the means to take care of himself.

Were it me I would take the blind man aside and explain the situation to him. Then protect him until we could set up a trust so begging would not be necessary.

Well, the liberal would piss and moan about how unfair it is that this man had more than others and didn't have to work for what he had, even though if he had worked for it they would piss and moan that it's unfair he has more than others and take it from him regardless.
