My fiancee and I are having a little girl and there is one name that we both really like and it has very special meaning to me. Anne-Aël (On-elle) it is french, and comes from one of my best friends, she was our foreign exchange student in high school. I learned alot from her and we both agree the name is something we really like but can't come up with a middle name. We have considered Nicole (my sister's middle name) but we can definately use some suggestions! Can you help us? THANKS!

I love your choice of name! AND coupled with the fact that it actually has real meaning makes it that much more special.

Anne-Ael Nicole
Anne-Ael Elizabeth
Anne-Ael Katherine
Anna-Ael Nicolette
Good Luck! And Congrats!

By the way, I did search several french name sites and was unable to find this name. The closet I found was Anael, Which is a masculine french name. Anyways.. I was trying to find the meaning of this very unusual name.

Well, as best as I can figure out, Anne-Ael means something along the lines of messenger of grace or favor.

Following are some french names that I feel sound good with Anne-Ael and continue along the lines of thought regarding that meaning

Alexandrie (defender of mankind)
Angelique (angelic)
Cateline (pure)
Luciene (light)
Mariette (loved)
Verene (sound wisdom)

You might also consider using a feminized form of the name of someone who was very special to, or a great friend of, your fiance. So that your child could be named after important loved ones from both sides.

Good luck!

I don't like your choice of Nicole because it doesn't really go with Anne-Ael. I would consider choosing something else french as well or french-sounding.

Like the name Anne-Ael though :)
