Met my oldest and dearest friend nearly 50 years ago when we were just kids. Years have gone by, and there are miles between us, but that has just strengthened our bond.

Am lucky enough to have another person that I can call a true friend....someone I met not long after I moved down here.

Am blessed to have them both in my life and heart!

I think I only have about 3 & 2 of them live in another state, so I'm not even sure about them. My best friend died last year. Since then, people I thought were friends let me down. To the people saying they have lots of true friends, you're confusing friends with acquaintances. A true friend will be there for you when you need them, no matter what.

Yes, I am truly blessed - I have four (4) and each one of them are angels in disguise. Two of them live close by and two do not (but we stay in touch on the www.com). I live alone and have no family in the immediate area, am disabled and so each week one of the local friends will take me to the grocery store, the library and/or the doctors office. I in turn am able to write letters (of the business/legal type) for them, and to do some sewing as needed, too. They also enjoy my company and my cooking and we play cards, scrabble or some other games together on a regular basis. I think it's a shame that we cannot chose our family as we chose our friends!

My sister is a true friend. I also have two friends whom I have known for 48 and 40 years. I remember a high school teacher telling my class that if we found one true friend in our life, we would be lucky. I was too young to accept this but as I matured it became clear that he was correct. We can have many, many acquaintances throughout our lives but for me to have three true friends makes me one of the lucky ones.

Sure do! And might I say TRUE, REAL FRIENDS...not just close acquaintances.

Two live out of state - both I have been close to since the late 50's

4 live here - three I met through work and one through college.

Wouldn't trade them for all the green tea in China!

I had one true friend for almost 30 years. We had a falling out last year and have not spoken since. I am extremely sad. We are both Taurus.

I'm going to be a brat. You called us friends and asked if we have any true. What is true? Of course I have true friends - 2 or three. How about you?
