Although I am philosophically opposed to Islam in most of its forms, I am also opposed to banning the Koran or any other book (including the Satanic Bible and Hitler's Mein Kampf).
Any time the free exchange of ideas is curtailed, humanity is diminished.
Good ideas and bad ideas will bear their merit or lack thereof over time. Respect the free will of your fellow human being and let them choose for themselves.

That's what is great about the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. You can be what ever you want to be and believe how you want and read what you want. America was formed because of the belief in religious freedom. Small minded, hateful people are the ones who limit what people can believe, read and who they can worship. Sort of like Saudi Arabia and other main line Muslim countries.

The banning of books is the beginning of the loss of freedom. China bans books. American should not.

I don't see how it is a good thing. You have freedom of choice and that means you have the freedom to practice whatever religion you please. If they ban the Quran then what's next?
