How do we use the scientific method in our everyday life? If so, what are the steps used (scientific method)?

1. Observe
2. Hypothesize
3. Experiment (you may go through 2 and 3 repeatedly)
4. Conclude

Those are the steps. I'm sure you can think of many examples of how you follow those steps in your daily life. Though it sounds like you're asking for someone to do your homework for you, I'll give you one example:

You spill BBQ sauce on your favorite shirt (observe). Since you don't want it to stain, you decide to wash it. However previous experience tells you BBQ sauce stains, and while bleach works very well, this particular shirt is colored and bleach would ruin it.

You go to the laundry room and look over the various cleaning products, or perhaps look for stain remedies online and decide which will would best for your shirt (hypothesize).

You attempt the your chosen cleaning method and wash the shirt (experiment).

If the first attempt doesn't work- you try another remedy (hypothesize/experiment) until something does work, or you decide the shirt is not salvageable (conclude).

I like kckli's answer, but I'd simplify it even further: 1. "Huh! I wonder why..?" (or what or how)
2. Try to figure out why (or what or how).
The rest is details.
