It's a lot more common than I thought. A lot of people will click that they have one donut in their bag when really they have two.

Some click that the $2.50 mango is a $.50 apple. Others will even leave items in their shopping cart, ring everything else up and roll out.

I know I do!

I have never stolen at the self-checkout, but I'm sure that those who do are feeling the same strain in the pocket as I do.

Honesty and self respect keep most people from stealing even with the opportunity so readily available.

When people shoplift or steal from a retail place, the prices go up to cover the projected losses by such theft. Because stores do inventories all the time, they understand their losses.

It is unfortunate that you think this is acceptable behavior. I hope you can think past the $2.00 savings on the mango, to what harm is being caused to everyone else.

Crime is not victimless, no matter how much one would believe it to be.

NO! a million) Too complicated! 2) They alaways have some form of reveal screen man or woman walking around that: A) won't assist you... and B) seems to be watching you like you're a shoplifter! (i'm no longer!) 3) They value sufficient for the stuff i purchase, to be waiting to arise with the money for a checkout clerk! 4) I view it as my little area interior the activity of transforming into jobs for human beings!

I HATE self checkout. I always use the cashier. I tend to get free baseball caps (or things that fit in each other nice) tho when one is over the other. Cashier is too lazy to look if its one or not because they are interested to go to lunch or home.

Never. I was arrested for shoplifting at a supermarket when I was a teenager. I won't make that mistake again.

NEVER
Stealing is stealing and wrong

All stealing does is raise prices for everyone and makes you a dishonest person

Never. I would not be able to tolerate myself if I did things like that.
