How do you think plants would respond to light? Why would they do that? Would different kinds of light elicit different responses? Would different intensities of light make a difference? How about light at different times of day? different frequencies of light?
See, the thing is to think of as many questions, and as many possible answers to some or all of those questions, as you can. Then you start doing things to try to figure out which answer to a particular question is the best one, or the one that best explains what you see. You don't have to try to explore every question - in fact it's usually better to start with something basic and follow it up as each answer leads you to new questions. Whatever you do, try to think of something that you really are interested in - you'll do a better job and think about it more thoroughly that way.
