Hmm, no. She is not your friend if she calls you a whore then says "just admit it." There's a difference between "Oh you're such a whore" and "You're a whore, just admit it." For whatever reason she is calling you that, a REAL friend might only say that jokingly or not at all. Since you are asking if she is your friend, I take it that when she says it, it's not very jokingly at all, otherwise you wouldn't be asking.
If you still want to be friends, explain to her that nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes - no matter how big or small. We all mess up. A lot of people realize they've made these mistakes and they learn from them and learn not to do them again BECAUSE they made them. At least you acknowledge that they were bad situations and you own up to them. You don't deny them. Sometimes people know just what to say to add insult to injury. You should explain to her that what she said really hurts especially coming from someone you consider your best friend. If she's really your friend, she will apologize despite the circumstances. That's what true friends do. If not, then just move on - and learn from it.

Just like in the phrase "Friends don't let friends drive drunk" , Real true friends don't back stab, manipulate, call you names, especially "whore". They just don't. So don't think twice about it. She can still be an "associate" but from now on, I would not consider her my bestfirend, I would find a new best friend, someeone who cares about my feelings and would never treat me this way. Use a long handle spoon when it comes to dealing with her, in other words, keep your distance.

sounds like she can`t bring herself to say what is really on her mind. I can only say from my experience sometimes it becomes easier to break a friend ship than risk giving out info that may well end the frienship any way and bring some stuff out into the open that doesn`t belong in the public domain. may be its not but you can only give some one an opportunity can`t you?

I think that it is very very wrong that your friend would call you a whore, because even though she is your friend, it is none of here business of what you do with other people, unless you want to tell her. I hope your friendship works out, try talking to her too.

She isn't your friend if she keeps calling you out of your name. If that was me I would have cursed her out or called her out of her name. If she your friend then she should understand that you have been in bad situations and did it out of love. That's what you call a associate not a friend.

If she says it jokingly then it's no problem.

Otherwise, it's time to find a new best friend.
