SCAM! Stay away from this so-called agency. There are literally hundreds of posts about this agency (part of a group of agencies all operating the same way) here: http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34311&highlight=writers+literary+agency

It gives many of the names under which WLA does business, then says, in part:

"Since this company began operating in 2001 under the name Sydra-Techniques, Writer Beware has received hundreds of complaints and advisories of fee-charging, editing referrals, and other questionable practices. We're not aware that the company has a significant track record of commercial book sales under any of its names, despite its claims to the contrary."

You can also check Preditors and Editors and any other rate-the-agent sites.

Do a web search. If anyone has complaints about them, it will show up. If they are a vanity publisher, it will definitely show up.

If you don't get anything, it is either a new agency or a legitimate one. Ask for a list of titles they have sold and see if those are available on Amazon and what their rankings are. Check again at http://www.fictionwise.com. If you don't find the titles are one or both places, walk away.
