You've seen photos or video of Manhattan, right? Were there streets and sidewalks and cars and taxis and buses and pedestrians?
If it was below sea level, people would have to get around by boat or gondola like in Venice, Italy!

Huh, if it's an island wouldn't it have to be above sea level. I'm just thinking that it a prerequisite for being an island.
