While im not against teaching kids to help out our fellow man in need.. I am against the goverment saying you eat enough, I want half your pizza.. We are promoting a dependent society that is for sure.. This was once the land of opportunity where hard work meant success was your reward... Now success is punished.. go figure

We're humans, all of us even the lazy. If you have a pizza and someone else would die because they lack food the only moral option is to share. If you're against that you are a social Darwinist, a theory that appealed to great leaders such as Hitler and Mussolini.

No Democrat is proposing Nationalizing Industries or the means of production so they are NOT socialists. The American right needs to stop lying and admit their own agenda that isn't capitalistic but pure Social Darwinism AKA jungle capitalism.

They were starting to do it to my kid at his school, but I managed to cure him of liberalism.

He’d been spouting a bunch of socialistic crap his teachers at school are pouring down his throat. Up until my wife died 2 years ago, we were home schooling him and his 13 yr old brother – but for the past 2 years I’ve had to put them in public education.

Thus the older boy was spouting the typical liberal garbage his government lackey teachers have been spouting. You know the drill – the capitalistic system isn’t fair to everyone, people need a minimum amount of support from the government, from each according to his ability , to each according to his need. Blah , blah blah.

Anyway I told my son if he worked with me on Saturday, pouring a 10 yard concrete driveway, I’d pay him $100. I told his younger brother he could go play with his friends and go to the movies.

Anyway I had my older kid busting his *ss, raking that concrete, screeding, tamping, floating and trowelling. Must have been 95 degrees. By the time it was broomed off, he looked like a whipped puppy.

So I get him home and give him 10 $10 bills. Then I tell him – you have to give $60 to your brother (the one who played and went to the movies).

He started complaining – I turned his **** right back on him – his brother needed the money – it wasn’t fair that his brother had less than him – blah blah blah.

I told him when you consider marginal income tax rates, sales tax, property taxes etc etc – keeping $40 out of every $100 you earn was about what he could expect. And I held to my guns – he got $40 and the lazy kid got $60.



Somehow I think the kid’s gonna wind up a conservative Republican.

i see many of the ailments of society caused by poverty. Poverty i might classify as an unfair distribution of money and power. If a person feels powerless, they are likely to abuse drugs, steal, hurt others etc. We as a society want a certain level of safety from dangers. The issues that cause poverty are related to the pecking orders that are set up for a few to succeed. This means that by very nature of a competitive society, only a few will succeed or be frontrunners in power and money. The only way that they can win is to have everyone agree to compete. This collective agreement should come on the condition that if we achieve power and success over others we must repay the society for that chance to achieve. I believe we should repay the society by helping the poor, which makes the entire country safer and happier..
